Gunnar Newquist is a Client Adviser for Strider. Gunnar provides advisory services to corporate and government clients to maximize utilization of the Strider Risk Intelligence Platform. In addition, he provides incident response support related to security program development, internal investigations, and risk mitigation practices.

 

Prior to joining Strider, Gunnar worked with corporate and government clients, as a member of Deloitte’s Cyber risk practice, working with security teams to address their most complex threat mitigation issues. Previously, Gunnar conducted industry leading corporate counterintelligence and insider threat investigations as a member of The Boeing Company’s Strategic Intelligence team.

 

Gunnar also enjoyed a 28-year career as a Special Agent with the US Naval Criminal Investigative Service, where he distinguished himself in multiple national security management roles, to include Special Agent in Charge of the Southwest Field Office and multiple FBI Espionage and Terrorism Task Forces.

 

Gunnar has received the US Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award, the Department of Defense Meritorious Unit Commendation, the National intelligence Meritorious Service Citation, the CI/LEO support to National Security Investigations award, and a US Navy Distinguish Service medal. Gunnar is a proud graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and multiple federal counterintelligence, human Intelligence, and law enforcement training academies.
