Mia Temple

Event Director | Creative Director for Advanced Onion, Inc. | Entrepreneur

Mia has been working with Advanced Onion (AO) since before its inception in 2006, helping the Founder incorporate it as a viable business. Her roles have shifted through the years from an Independent Contractor, to full-time Executive, Creative Consultant and now Event & Creative Director. She is responsible for creating, managing and maintaining the corporate brand identity, graphic and website designs, digital media, public relations and other forms of marketing both internally and externally. Mia is the co-creator of the original Insider Threat Summit, the first event of its kind Nationwide.

 

She helped guide AO into the world of events and training by starting with a few small tech days before delving into larger corporate and government conferences and summits. Mia oversees all aspects of event coordination, marketing, management and logistics, including: relations with vendors, speakers, attendees and sponsors, content management, budgeting, venue and Audio Visual contracts, menus, layout and logistics, on-site management, registration and attendee accommodations, graphic design, printed materials, marketing, public relations and digital marketing strategies and implementation. 

Mia has successfully founded and ran two graphic design companies in San Diego, Sausalito and Auburn, Ca, where she was the Principal Creative Director for over 17 years. Prior to her life as an entrepreneur, she worked as a Production and Account Coordinator at Epicenter Advertising in San Diego, Ca, a PR Consultant at a boutique public relations firm, Zing Ltd., Inc. in Sydney, NSW, Australia, a Prada and Burberry Specialist, Visual Merchandiser, Buyer, Model and Manager at various luxury retail shops, including Saks 5th Ave., Macy's and a few boutiques. Her career got its start working as a Graphic Design assistant with her artist/designer mother at Nina Temple Design, while obtaining Dean's Honors at Monterey Peninsula College with an AA and completing coursework toward a BA/BS in Applied Design (Textile emphasis) & Psychology Coursework at San Diego State University.

She is a loving single-mother to three kids and one boxer dog and enjoys working, creating and living in the beautiful Central Coast of California.
