Mia Temple

Event & Creative Director for Advanced Onion, Inc. | Founder of Ooze Studio, LLC

Mia has been working with Advanced Onion (AO) since before its inception in 2006, helping the Founder incorporate it as a viable business. Her roles have shifted through the years from an Independent Contractor, to full-time Executive, Creative Consultant and now Event & Creative Director. She is responsible for creating, managing and maintaining the corporate brand identity, graphic and website designs, digital media, public relations and other forms of marketing both internally and externally. Mia is the co-creator of the original Insider Threat Summit, the first event of its kind Nationwide.

 

She helped guide AO into the world of events and oversees all aspects of event coordination, marketing, management and logistics, including: recruitment and relations with vendors, speakers, attendees and sponsors, content management, budgeting, venue and audio visual contracts, menus, logistics, on-site management, registration and attendee accommodations, graphic design for printed and digital materials, marketing, public relations and digital marketing strategies and implementation. 

Mia is currently the Founder of a community-driven art studio, Ooze Studio, LLC and has successfully founded and ran two graphic design companies throughout California, where she was the Principal Creative Director for over 17 years. Prior to her life as an entrepreneur, she worked at advertising and public relations firms in San Diego, CA and Sydney, NSW, Australia. She performed various roles from opening and managing, to buying, merchandising, modeling and excelling at customer service as a brand specialist for Prada and Burberry at various luxury retail shops, including Saks 5th Avenue, Macy's and a few boutiques. Her career got its start working as a Graphic Design assistant with her artist/designer mother in 1993 at Nina Temple Design in Annapolis, MD and Monterey, CA.

 

She received Dean's Honors at Monterey Peninsula College with an A.A. and completed coursework for a BA/BS in Applied Design (Textile emphasis) & Psychology Coursework at San Diego State University and holds accredited certifications in Color Design, the Psychology of Color and as a Health and Wellness Coach.

She is a loving single-mother to three kids and one boxer dog and enjoys working, creating and living in the beautiful Central Coast of California.
